Our role is central in several key areas, including the automation of the entire system, design of electrical panels, and the creation of a waste collection column prototype.Our waste collection column, a key element of the system, has been designed with a focus on efficiency and hygiene. Each door is equipped with a sensor that detects the approach of the user and opens automatically, minimizing physical contact and enhancing the user experience. The unit can also be equipped with a weighing system, allowing for monitoring of the volume and weight of the waste deposited.

From an operational perspective, the column utilizes motorized pneumatic actuators to handle the opening and closing of the door, integrating a anti-crushing system to ensure user safety. Proximity sensors are used to detect the presence of the user and control the status of the door.Access is regulated through an RFID system, with the possibility of a future upgrade to keyless access via smartphone app. The column is equipped with a level sensor for monitoring the internal volume and utilizes Ethernet and Modbus TCP/RTU communication protocols for data transmission to the central control center.All components and functionalities of the column are designed to be highly adaptable and can be customized to meet different operational and design needs. This flexibility allows for easy integration into various types of waste collection facilities. On the automation side of the facility, Tecnocons Srl has developed and implemented solutions for centralized management of the system, including the design of electrical panels and software for facility management and monitoring.
